Starring Forrest Whitaker as Cecil Gaines, a man who rises to the position of butler at the White House from the time of the Eisenhower administration through the Reagan administration. All the while the life of Cecil is juxtaposed against his son, played by David Oyelowo, who is brought up during the Civil Rights movement.
